Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate volunteering: stories of commitment inside and outside IBSA Italy

Solidarity today also involves companies

Donating your time is one of the most valuable gestures one can make, and more and more organizations today are choosing to promote corporate volunteering, offering employees the opportunity to devote part of their paid time to concrete projects that support people and communities. According to a recent study, over 60% of Italian companies promote corporate volunteering initiatives, recognizing their benefits both for employee well-being and social cohesion.

These initiatives not only have a positive impact on society, they also help participants to grow. They engage people, stimulate collaboration between colleagues, promoting team building, and spark creativity and a sense of responsibility

IBSA Italy: two days to get involved

In a social environment where distance seems to be growing ever greater, volunteering is a universal language of empathy and responsibility. It is precisely with this insight that IBSA decided in 2025 to put this philosophy into practice, offering all Group employees two days of paid leave to devote to volunteering at recognized organizations and associations.

This concrete choice is part of a broader commitment to inclusion, solidarity, and social responsibility, reflecting the company's vision: to create value not only through science and research, but also through people and their daily actions. Everyone has the opportunity to choose from a range of options: from participating in educational or cultural projects to supporting those in need and environmental protection initiatives. It is a concrete opportunity to feel part of something bigger, putting one's time and skills at the service of others.

Employees’ personal commitment

IBSA Italy employees responded enthusiastically to volunteer opportunities, transforming their time into concrete actions that have a real impact on the community. Together, their experiences reveal a common thread: inclusion, attention to the most vulnerable people, and strong bonds between colleagues and communities.

IBSA Italy e Fondazione Francesca Rava

During the year, many employees chose to get involved, dedicating their time and energy to various volunteer initiatives. Some contributed to the renovation of a shelter for mothers and children in need with Fondazione Arché ONLUS, others supported inclusive activities through theater with OFFicina delle variAZIONI, and others helped organize a fun run and walk in support of ABIO Crema. Finally, some decided to donate their time to one of our long-standing partners, the Francesca Rava Foundation, helping to organize activities and materials for the “In farmacia per i bambini” campaign.

Different experiences but united by a single spirit: the desire to be there, to do one's part, and to transform the time donated into shared value. For IBSA Italy, corporate volunteering goes beyond numbers: it is an experience made up of stories that enrich both those who give and those who receive. It represents an opportunity for team building and strong personal growth. Dedicating time to others means investing in people, creating lasting bonds, and helping to build a more inclusive society that is aware of everyone's needs.
